What are we wearing?
The questions on a lot of my students lips is… What kind of mask do you have? Your fins? What kind are they?
Your dive gear is always a matter of personal preference. I like to think i choose my dive gear for the fit and for the color!
Not only do i want it to fit my face, i want it to look good too!
Performance of a mask or fins is ultra important to me. After all, we are going under the waves to see what is there!
Recently i decided to changeover my dive gear to the Tusa brand. Having heard over the years, they were a solid and reliable choice, i went ahead and invested in a mask from their latest range.
My mask of choice was the Freedom Ceos Pro in a black on black colour.
The features of this mask:
Low profile, low volume 2-window design
Equipped with freedom Technology
Crystal view Optical glass lenses
Anti- reflective and UV lens treatments
Skirt mounted Quick Adjust Buckle system
3-D strap for ideal anatomical fit
Dimpled Skirt for ultimate fit
Stability ridges minimise compression at depth
What does all this mean??
The technology in creating dive gear changes all the time, as we dive more, we expect more. Better quality, better fit, longer lasting gear.
This mask is super comfortable, it sits against my face nice and snug and the silicone is soft and pliable. I hardly notice i’m wearing it! The strap sits in the right place and stays there.
As it is so low profile, it offers a fantastic view of the world around me. Not only that, as i dive deeper i have no trouble with mask squeeze..
From the minute i wore this mask i was more than happy with it and would recommend it to any of my fellow divers or students.
