Scuba Career Induction – Level One
Who can do it?
Anyone who is at least 18 years old and medically fit
No previous diving experience is required
This is how you get into the Scuba Diving Industry, with or without previous experience, if you like the water then it’s possible. This program will take a person from the PADI Openwater Diver Course through to PADI Divemaster and Master Scuba Diver, at the same time introduces industry specific skills to better prepare you to apply for positions. There is Facility, Accommodation, Boat, Equipment, Point of Sale, Social Media, Underwater Photography and Underwater Videography Post Production industry specific skills…
How long does it take?
This is normally a full time program for 3 months, from Monday to Friday 9am through 4pm.
Can I do it Part Time?
There is also a part time option available for those who would like to get qualified to work in the Dive Industry, but not leave work straight away. The schedule is Monday to Thursday or Thursday to Sunday, from 9am to 4pm each of the days.
This allows you time to decide what equipment you will need to get to work, and also allows you time to choose an area you would like to work in (warm or cold environment), and then purchase exactly what you need.

For full time candidates it also include accommodation.
There is also a large reduction off the retail price of Scuba Equipment for Internship Candidates.
What will I be doing?
Your days will be filled with being part of a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre where you will see first-hand the teaching of all levels of PADI Courses, guiding Certified Divers, Boat Operation, Equipment maintenance and many other interesting aspects of this industry. We also have agreements with some of the local Charter Boat Operators where they will take selected Candidates for “Orientations”, that way you get to see what it would be like to do this type of work.
What Qualification will I gain?
At the end it your internship you will have the following PADI certifications:
Open Water Diver
Advanced Open Water Diver
Rescue Diver
Divemaster
Master Scuba Diver
and the following PADI Specialty certifications:
Underwater Naturalist
Deep Diver
Search and Recovery
Multilevel Diver
Underwater Navigation
This program is structured so that you get the most credit from each portion of training. The Specialty Courses included are able to be credited towards your PADI Divemaster portion of your training. As well as classroom study there is a lot of diving required for this program, a fun way to develop the skills and attitude to work in the Dive Industry.
